George A. Thomopoulos was born in 1969 in Patras, Greece. He received his diploma in Electrical and Computer Engineering from the University of Patras in 1993. He holds a MSc in the field of Energy entitled "Distributed Green Electricity and Advanced Network Infrastructure for its Management and Economy”. From 2006 onward, he has been employed as the head technical supervisor at the Centre for Computing and Information Systems (CCIS) within the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering at the University of Patras. Additionally, since May 2020, he holds a position as a teaching laboratory faculty member within the same department. As of January 2023, he is a PhD candidate in University of Patras.
