This thesis centers on creating and assessing the Augmented Cultural User Experience (ACUX) typology, intended to classify users based on their visiting preferences. Alongside this, the thesis introduces the ACUX Recommender (ACUX-R), a mobile recommendation system meticulously crafted to offer personalized cultural destination suggestions to visitors, taking into account their specific preferences while visiting such places. The central goal of this thesis is to enhance the cultural user experience by implementing a multi-profile classification of cultural visitors and validating its effectiveness through the mobile recommendation system.
