Areti Damala works as a Research Fellow at the CNRS and the Ecole Normale Supérieure, in Paris, France and a lecturer at the Université Paris 12 and the Hellenic Open University. She is also an academic collaborator of  WAAG, Technology and Society in the Netherlands for the "mingei - Representation and Preservation of Heritage Crafts" EU project. Her research is situated at the intersection of Cultural Heritage, Experience Design, Learning and Meaning Making. She is the coordinator of the ICOM CECA (Cultural Education and Cultural Action) Special Interest Group "Learning and Engaging Digitally", a member of the Management Committee of the COST Action CA 20137, Making Young Researchers' Voices Heard for Gender Equality and an ambassador for the EU PEACH project (Supporting parents and educators of bilingual children).
