Marientina Gotsis is an Associate Professor of Practice of Interactive Media and Games at the School of Cinematic Arts at the University of Southern California. As co-founder/ director of the Creative Media & Behavioral Health Center, she oversees design, implementation, and evaluation of educational and therapeutic interventions using interactive entertainment. She has participated in 30+ competitive programs with funding from public and private bodies. She has collaborated with KEIO University, Radboud University Nijmegen, University of Crete, Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, and the University of Patras. She has published 40+ papers in peer reviewed journals and conferences and is Associate Editor of Frontiers of Virtual Reality in Medicine. She designed and directs the graduate programs MA in Cinematic Arts (Media Arts, Games and Health), and MFA in Interactive Media (Games and Health). She graduated from the University of Illinois-Chicago with a BFA in Photography/Film/Electronic Media and an MFA in Electronic Visualization.
