‘ANASA” is an interactive garment that integrates textile sensors into a wearable shirt to capture real-time lung metrics —tidal volume, respiratory rate, and inhalation/exhalation flow curves—and streams them to a companion app for immediate on-body visualization. Worn by patients, athletes and wellness supporters, ‘Anasa’ turns each breath into dynamic charts, displayed mobile device. Clinicians can remotely monitor trends, detect early signs of distress, and tailor therapies instantly; researchers gain high-resolution longitudinal data without interrupting daily life. The work demonstrates how everyday clothing becomes a seamless medical interface, merging comfort, design, and clinical rigor into a single, elegant solution.
Our team set out to dissolve the barrier between breathing and data. Traditional spirometry confines measurements to clinics—forcing snapshots rather than continuous insight. By embedding soN, flexible strain sensors into the fabric’s weave, we capture every breath’s nuance. Anasa’s AI-driven analytics pipeline transforms raw deformation signals into clinically validated lung function parameters. Visualization is equally crucial: we designed a minimalist app interface and AR overlays so that users and caregivers can intuitively “see” the lungs at work, fostering deeper engagement and adherence. Ultimately, this project embodies ATRIDE’s philosophy: empower people through technology, elevate care through actionable information, and democratize health data by integrating it into our most fundamental act—breathing.
